The new member of the Dragons’ roster is Marly Quince

At HK Olimpija Ljubljana, we continue building our roster for the 2025/26 season. Marly Quince is a reliable and disciplined center, known for his high faceoff win percentage. In the offensive zone, he excels in front of the opponent’s net. With his arrival, we’ve balanced our offensively oriented signings with a responsible player who proudly takes on the gritty tasks.

Before moving to Europe, Quince played college hockey in the NCAA. After completing his studies, he continued his professional career in the ECHL. He began his European journey in the UK, then spent two successful seasons with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia’s top league, where he firmly established himself. At the end of last season, he joined the Fischtown Pinguins from Bremerhaven and competed in the playoffs of the strong German DEL league.

Anže Ulčar, HK Olimpija Director:
“Marly is the kind of player every coach wants. Responsible and dependable on defense, and a real battler. He’s also excellent in the faceoff circle, and I believe he’ll play many key minutes. His play around and in front of the net is another major asset. That area has been a weakness for us in the past, which impacted our offensive efficiency. With Polei and Quince, we now have two players who truly excel in that part of the game.”
