A high-profile new signing for HK Olimpija Ljubljana is Zach Boychuk

Zach Boychuk Joins HK Olimpija Ljubljana

Zach Boychuk, an experienced forward with a outstanding career in the world’s top hockey leagues, is joining the HK Olimpija Ljubljana team.

Boychuk was selected 14th overall in the first round of the NHL Draft and played 127 games in the league for the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Nashville Predators. With Team Canada, he won the World Junior Championship twice (U20) and the Spengler Cup. He made a strong mark in European leagues, winning the Swiss championship with SC Bern and the German DEL title, where he lifted the trophy four times with Eisbären Berlin. He is an exceptionally effective goal scorer and was even the top scorer in the Champions Hockey League (CHL).

Zach Boychuk is known for his explosiveness, tenacity, creativity in attack, leadership qualities, and professional attitude. His arrival sends a clear message that HK Olimpija Ljubljana is building a team aiming for the top of the ICE Hockey League.
