The Dragons have another chance at the finals

Our hockey players still have the final puck to qualify for the finals, as they are still leading 2: 1 in the semi-final series after the defeat with Lustenau. Today, they are going to Predarlsko again to get a ticket for the finals.

The teams are playing for three wins and Lustenau has reduced the gap in wins. It turns out, however, that the playoffs are always unpredictable and a lot can happen. We didn’t see any goals in the first third. In the second, the guests took the lead first, soon after he equalized Nik Simšič, in the 33rd minute, the guests scored again and the result remained unchanged until the end of the match. At the gates of the Austrian team this time stood Anthony Morrone, who stopped 33 of the Dragons ’34 shots. While the guests shot towards the gate of goalkeeper Hölsä 18 times.

After the match, he is the scorer of the only goal for the green and whites Nik Simšič said: »The guests took advantage of all the opportunities and the match turned out in their favor. Once we equalized, we took the initiative. But by no means did the puck go into our goal. We went into the match like everyone else, we wanted these victories."

Head coach Raimo Summanen: »It's just hockey, you win and you lose. We played better today than in the first game, but we still lost. Some players played well, some didn’t, but as a team we need to show more. In duels we need to show more strength, more discipline and believe in ourselves. I told the boys in the locker room that it’s definitely not easy to win all the matches. We will definitely play the next match to win and, of course, to qualify for the finals. We need that as a team. If we want to grow as a team, we must also know how to face problems."

The next semi-final match will be on Thursday, April 15, in Lustenau, the match starts at 19.30.
