In Bremerhaven, they formed one of the most productive forward duos in the German DEL, widely regarded as one of the strongest leagues in Europe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"453\" data-end=\"628\">They bring invaluable experience, proven leadership, and a winning mentality to the Dragons \u2014 qualities that will serve as both a standard and inspiration for the entire team.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"630\" data-end=\"778\">Signing Urbas and Jegli\u010d is part of Olimpija Ljubljana\u2019s vision and ambition to take a decisive step toward the top of the international ICE League.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"1050\">Jan Urbas, a product of Olimpija, captained Slovenia at two Olympic Games and played a key role in the national team\u2019s promotion to the elite division of world hockey. He has competed in Sweden, the EBEL (predecessor of the ICE League), and spent ten seasons in the DEL.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1266\">For the past nine years, he represented Fischtown Pinguins, serving as team captain for the last four. Known for his physical presence and powerful shot, he was a constant threat to opposing goaltenders in Germany.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1508\">In the DEL, Urbas recorded 438 appearances and an impressive 387 points. In the 2024\/25 season, he was the league\u2019s top scorer with 52 points, and this season he led the regular season of the Champions Hockey League (CHL) in goals with six.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1741\">\u017diga Jegli\u010d began his hockey journey in Bled and went on to play in some of Europe\u2019s top leagues. Over the course of his career, he has competed in the EBEL, Sweden\u2019s Allsvenskan, Finland\u2019s Liiga, and spent five seasons in the KHL.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1982\">In the 2013\/14 season, he won the DEL championship with Ingolstadt, recording an outstanding 15 points in the playoffs. Over the past six seasons with Fischtown Pinguins, he maintained consistent production, averaging 0.88 points per game.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2195\">Jegli\u010d is widely regarded as one of the most creative forwards in Slovenian hockey. He was an indispensable member of the national team and scored Slovenia\u2019s historic first Olympic goal in Sochi, against Russia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2431\">The arrival of Jan Urbas and \u017diga Jegli\u010d in Ljubljana is not only a major sporting boost \u2014 it is also a strategic move.
