This season, the boys' selections will compete in the international IHL U-19 competition. Players from 2001 and younger have the right to perform. In addition, 3 players from the year 2000 have the right to perform.
8 teams will take part in the competition
- HK SŽ Olimpija
- HD Hidria Jesenice
- HK MK Bled
- HK Triglav
- SKHL Red Star
- HK Slavija Junior
- HDK Maribor
- KHL Youth
Teams will play the regular part of the championship in the classic four-round system (so each team plays 4 × 7 = 28 matches).
All teams qualify for the finals. They play 2 wins in the playoffs.
