The boys' network in Maribor remained intact

On Sunday, January 5, our boys continued their competition in the national championship. They went to Maribor. The boys are quite convincingly in the lead in the championship standings and have already beaten Maribor this season, but it was still expected that it would not be possible to win new points without effort.

And really, our fighters did their best. The match was tied in the first third. The shot ratio was even in favor of the home team (12:11). However, our players were already at least a shade more dangerous in this part, and they showed that in the very last seconds of the match. 3 seconds before the break he passed Nick Sechen, Anže Žeželj but scored for the first lead. 1: 0 was the score after the first third.

We watched a similar game in the second third. Due to a few exclusions on our side, the home side were able to somehow keep the balance in the game. Also in the second half, the ratio of shots was similar to the first (11:11) and also in the second half, in the end, our players were more dangerous and more efficient. In the 33rd minute, he passed less in the game with the player Jan Petelinkarand scored for the lead with 2: 0 Tian Hebar.

Exclusions on our side also continued in the last third. But that only allowed guests to be able to put pressure on our door from time to time. They were again more successful in shots (13: 8). But many of these shots were not even dangerous, and those that were successfully stopped again by our excellent goalkeeper Jon Dukaric. The match was finally decided in the second half of the last third when our Dragons scored two more goals. He passed for 3: 0 Jan Petelinkar, hit Tit Smolnikar. He passed for the final 4: 0 Ian Petronijevic Lepsa, but he hit Jan Petelinkar.

After the match, the coach was also satisfied Igor Beribak"The boys played well again. Although they were a little tired - the day before most of them had played an important match in the U-17 selection, they did their best. Those few mistakes were successfully covered by our excellent goalkeeper. The home players committed some unnecessary and unsportsmanlike offenses, but our players knew how to react properly, so the victory was completely deserved."

In the remaining matches, Jeseničani were better than Bled (HKMK Bled) with 9: 3, Slavija beat Triglav with 6: 3, KAC beat Celje with 4: 3 in a close match, and Zagreb was convincingly better at home than HDD Bled.

With today's victory, Olimpija is only increasing its advantage in the championship standings. Zagreb is even closer with 7 points behind. The boys will continue competing next Sunday, when they will travel to Bled.
