There was one more change in the HK SŽ Olimpija team as part of the team refresh: the Canadian striker is leaving the team after the arrival of the new coach Marc Olivier Vallerand, who is returning to the UK with the Sheffield Steelers.

"Marc-Olivier Vallerand is a great player, but unfortunately this year he didn't play as much as we wanted due to injuries. Based on the overall outcome of the season, we agreed that he should return to the UK and finish the season on a positive note. We are continuing to refresh the team and maybe there will be some more changes," Valleranda said upon his departure Anže Ulčar, director of HK SŽ Olimpija.
