After a slightly longer lull, the competition in the junior category (U-19) continued today. The dragons went to Bled. We all expected an interesting and difficult match. First of all, these two teams are fighting for 3rd place in the championship standings. The teams entered the match with the same number of points scored. Secondly, matches with Bled for Olimpija have always been difficult lately, especially if the match is scheduled in Bled.
And again, the match was tough and even. The first third passed without a large number of special events. In the end, the Dragons had to keep the game with a player less, but this first penalty did not bring any goals and the teams went to the first break with a football score of 0: 0. However, things started to unfold in the second part of the game. Immediately in the first minute, the home hockey players took the lead with 1: 0. The sequel also belonged more to the home team. Two of our exclusions followed in the 29th and 30th minutes. The home team attacked in the game from 5-on-3, which they knew how to use and in the 31st minute the home team's lead was already 2: 0. But fortunately, the attack of the home team stopped here, and our team scored a very important goal for the connection towards the end of the third period. In the 39th minute, he reduced the lead to 2: 1 Blaž Stipanič. They passed Port of Ogrinc in Žiga mehla.
As in the second third, in the third third the goal fell in the first minute and was scored again by the home players. With that, they increased their lead to 3: 1. But ours did not relent. A few minutes followed as ours chased the lag. In doing so, our players also got a chance to play with a player more on the ice. These were not used, but in the end it just opened up. In the 57th minute, he first reduced to 3: 2 Gregor Žeželj (the feeders were Blaž Stipanič in Žiga mehla, at 3: 3. however, in the 59th minute after the pass Gašper Šubic equalized Alex Kepic. 3: 3 was also the final result of the regular part of the game.
Our players were, of course, happy to catch up, but in overtime they were still more successful home players. After 3 minutes of play, they scored and the victory remained at home in the end.

In the remaining two matches, Slavija beat Maribor 4: 1, and Jeseničani beat Mladost 11: 1. After 14 matches, Olimpija is in 4th place, only one point behind the Bled team. The competition for our juniors continues on Sunday, when the Mladost team arrives in Tivoli.
