On Saturday, January 28, a new match of our cadets was scheduled. It was the penultimate regular season game. Our cadets went to Kranj. The people of Kanj already won the leading position before the end of the regular season. If we add to this the fact that this season our cadets have not yet beaten Kranjčani, our boys were in for a tough match. It is true that our team went to Kranj this time with a more or less full band. And in the end it was known...
Our Dragons started the match quite well. In the first ten minutes, they gradually took the initiative and were more and more dangerous in front of the home goal. Then the initiative was interrupted by the exclusion on our side. In a game with less players, our team defended well, but the moment of the game shifted to the home side. And a few minutes later, it was also reflected in the result. The home team led 1:0. After this goal, our team managed to restore balance. Towards the end of the third period, we saw some new opportunities for ours, but the score remained 1:0.
The home side started the second third better. In the rush in the first few minutes, they also hit the frame of our goal. This lasted until the 5th minute of the second period when he Bruno Kuret received a nice pass with which he slipped in front of the home goal himself. The home defender stopped him with a foul and a penalty kick was awarded. Bruno was not successful in his execution, but that was enough to turn the momentum of the game back to our side. Ours slowly began to take the initiative again. But despite the initiative, there were no real opportunities on our side. Otherwise, our boys got into a good position quite a few times, but there was no composure for the equalizing goal. Then, in the 35th minute, an opportunity came in the game with an extra player. Otherwise, right at the beginning of this penalty, our team was not yet dangerous, but in the next minute another penalty followed on the home side. Our team took a minute break and ours could attack with two more players in the field. Here we finally saw our first goal. Plošček rounded off our team in the attacking third. They passed Lev Lesar in Ian Petronijevic Lepsa. On the right side, however, he was accurate Even Žibert and the result was tied.
This is where the game picked up a bit. A few more ejections followed, so that the two teams played in a 4 on 4 game towards the end of the period. And here we saw another goal from our dragons. Ian Petronijevic Lepsa he passed in front of the door to Bora Raccoon, and he made a nice pass back to Bruno Kureta. Bruno scored and our team led 2:1. This was also the end result of the second part of the game.
The home team also started the third period a bit more enterprisingly. They were chasing a result. But our defense was solid. At the same time, our team forced the home team into fouls with quick counterattacks, so that they could control the games and the result well enough with occasional plays with one player. However, the home team persevered and in the last few minutes, the home team once again put pressure on our door. They also had a player more in the field. They hit the door frame, but there was no more. The game was finally decided in the 59th minute, when Ian Petronijevic Lepsa got the puck in our third, launched a counterattack and scored for 3:1. This was also the final score of the match.
So ours won. In the second match of the leading group, Slavija defeated the Jesenice team. With this, it is already clear that Triglav won the first place after the regular season, Jeseničani are fourth. Slavija and Olimpija will compete in the last match of the regular season for 2nd and 3nd respectively. XNUMXrd place of regular work. The match will be played in Tivoli next week.
