On Saturday, the players of the cadet selections (u-17) continued their matches in this calendar year. The KAC team arrived in Tivoli. The KAC team is in 2nd place in the championship standings, 5 points ahead of our Dragons. Our players had a difficult and important match ahead of them.

The match was better opened by our players. They immediately pressed on the door of the guard. In the opening minutes, our players even had more players on the ice. But none of that hit and the game then calmed down a bit. We then saw a bit more liveliness again in the second half of the first third. But there were no hits. We watched an even and interesting match. Each team had their opportunities. At the end of the third, the guests even had a little more than a game, but despite all attempts, the third ended with 0: 0.

The pace of ours dropped a bit at the beginning of the second third. They put more pressure on the guests, who became increasingly dangerous. Quite a few opportunities followed. Lan Kavčič he had to intervene really nicely a few times to keep the net intact. The pressure lasted until the 27th minute, when the tile in the attacking third was stolen by our players. Lan Matija Jan. he took the tile and slid it toward the door. With an accurate shot from the right side, he defeated the visiting goalkeeper and started their net to lead the home team with 1: 0.

The goal enlivened and turned the match around. The initiative was taken by our players. And the pressure of ours paid off. A new goal followed in the 33rd minute. He passed Gašper Šubic, but he scored for 2: 0 Karlo Marinkovic. But the match has not yet been decided at this point. A few minutes later, an exclusion on our side followed, which the guests took advantage of. They only needed a few seconds for their goal. The referee's shot was followed by a shot from the blue line. On the way to the door, someone diverted the tile and it ended up in our net. It was written in the 37th minute. The goal brought quite a bit of nervousness into our ranks and the guests pressed. We saw some dangerous situations, but fortunately there was no change in the result and the teams were able to go to the last break.

Fortunately, the rush of guests did not transfer to the beginning of the last third. Our players managed to strike a balance and in the first minutes we watched an interesting and even match. In the 48th minute, our exclusion followed and the guests closed again. But the pressure was thankfully short-lived. Soon after the two teams slipped in full lineup we saw a new goal by the Dragons. In fact, already in the game with the player, there was less indication that our team would score a new goal, but that was not the case. When the attack was less, it looked like the puck had already ended up in the net, but the referees did not award it. Either way, the puck landed in the net a minute later in the 50th minute. They passed Bruno Kuren in Tay Petronijevic Lepsa, but he hit Jan Petelinkar. Shortly afterwards, a new exclusion on our side followed, but those two minutes were spent by ours without excessive turmoil. The game calmed down and the guests prepared for the last attack only in the last minutes of the match. But then they committed a slightly unnecessary offense in the attack, so in the last minutes our players successfully with a player more on the ice in advance stifled any attempt to turn around in the last minutes. The match ended fairly calmly with the Dragons' 3-1 victory.

In the remaining matches, Jeseničani beat Triglav 2-0, Maribor was 10: 1 better than Celje, VSV beat HKMK Bled 9: 8, when Bled was already leading 8: 4, and Slavija was 8: 2. 3 defeated Zagreb. After today's victory, Olimpija remains in 2rd place, but the leadership of KAC in 2nd place is reduced to 7 points, with our team having less of a theme. A new interesting, difficult and important match awaits our boys on Tuesday, January XNUMXth. The Jesenice team is coming to Tivoli.
